A 19 year old girl allegedly raped inside a cinema hall in Hyderabad on January 29. Police have arrested the accused and initiated action against the cinema hall owner— ANI (@ANI) February 2, 2018
A 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her friend inside a cinema hall in Secunderabad. The incident was reported on January 29. the accused has been identified as 23-year-old Kandakatla Bikshapathi who is a JCB driver. In her complaint, the victim stated that she got in touch with the accused through Facebook about two months ago.
according to report the both went to prashant theaters in Secunderabad to watch movie "padmaavat" ,when she was allegedly sexually assaulted.
The girl went home and informed about it to her parents,” the police was quoted as saying.
“The girl was raped inside a movie theatre. Two months back, the victim and the accused became friends through social media,” according to circle inspector Mathaiah.
Police said the accused took advantage of the fact that there were only a few people in the theatre and nobody was near them.
The accused was arrested on January 31 and sent to judicial custody the following day.
The girl reportedly received severe injuries on her private parts and is undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and action has also been initiated against the theatre owner for negligence.
Two months back, in a similar incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped inside a movie theater in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. The police had arrested two people in connection with the case.
